What is my counselling process?

My approach to counselling is all about collaboration and respecting the unique expertise people have in their own lives. I believe that everyone has the skills and knowledge they need to create meaningful change. Transparency and teamwork are at the heart of how I work, and I enjoy partnering with clients to uncover solutions together.

My style is energetic, curious, playful, and creative. I see counselling as a relational process, where the stories we tell and the connections we share help us make sense of things. Creating a space where new ideas can grow, and fresh perspectives can form is important to me. I predominately use solution-focused and narrative approaches.

I find great joy in witnessing others' stories and appreciate how these stories move me and continually shape who I am. I work with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, general mental health and wellbeing, life transitions, acute or chronic medical diagnoses (including dementia), loss and grief, family relationship challenges, and clinical supervision. That said, I welcome anyone who simply needs someone to talk to someone outside of family and friends—no mental health diagnosis or care plan required.
